Young Snakes U13 Memorial Enea e Ferdy

The italian version is binding

1. Category

All boys born after January 1st 2012 and girls born after January 1st 2011 are entitled to play in the tournament. If requested to do so, each player should be able to show the organizing committee a valid identity document.

2. Program

10 teams divided in two groups of 5 teams each will enter the tournament. Each team plays 5 games: 4 games in the preliminary round and 1 placement.

3. Game rules

Each team should wear the official jersey of the tournament. Before all games there will be a 5 minute warm-up without pucks, and games consist of 2 periods of 15 minutes each, including stop time with a 3 minute break between the two periods, where teams will remain in the players’ bench. Each team should be ready to start the game at the given time, delays might be sanctioned with a forfeit. Each team has a 30 second time-out for each period. Each period of the preliminary round games counts as a single game for the points attributed.

4. Referees and penalties

Games are refereed by official referees of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation (SIHF). The SIHF rules of play apply with the following modifications: only 2-minute penalties (with numerical inferiority), 5-minute disciplinary or match penalties may be imposed. Match penalties automatically result in disqualification of the punished player for the next group match or, if a repeat offender, for the entire continuation of the tournament. Referees’ decisions cannot be overruled. In case of a more serious infringement of the rules, the organizing committee can suspend a player, a coach or an assistant coach for one or more games.

5. Standings

In each period of the preliminary round games 2 points are award- ed for a victory, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a defeat or forfeit (game result 0-5). The preliminary ranking is drawn up according to the following criteria: points, head-to-head (sum of the two halves), goal difference, number of goals scored, and draw. In case of tie in any of the placement games, each team will have 3 penalty shots, in case of a tie after the penalty shots, further penalty shots will be shot until a team wins.

6. Awards

Each participating team will be awarded. The team with the fewest penalty minutes over the span of the tournament receives the Fair-play award (in case of a tie, the worst ranked). The most original audience receives the Supporter award. The presence of all teams at the awards ceremony is mandatory. All players should wear the official tournament jersey. Each player can keep his jersey after the tournament.
